ATLANTA, Oct. 25, 2007 – Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), part of J.M. Huber Corporation, today announced Alex Isarov, Ph.D., senior scientist for alumina trihydrate (ATH) and magnesium hydroxide (MDH) products, will deliver a key technical presentation at the upcoming International and Wire and Cable Symposium (IWCS).  Isarov will be a featured presenter at IWCS Nov. 12 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Conference Center in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Isarov will present a session titled “New Magnesium Hydroxides Enabling Low-Smoke Cable Compounds.”  The authors of the presentation are Isarov and Tong Chen, Ph.D., director of technology for ATH and MDH.  The presentation will focus on Huber’s research efforts and ongoing commitment to growing its MDH portfolio with the development of new products for the wire and cable industry.

“Huber is a major supplier of ATH and MDH for a broad range of insulation and jacketing applications for wire and cable applications, and it is imperative we continue to supply innovative products to the marketplace and meet the requirements of our customers,” said Don Mills, ATH director of sales.  “We are pleased Tong and Alex have co-authored this presentation and believe those attending will be able to learn beneficial information about the advantages of the new technologies available.”

Huber’s booth #209 can be found at the IWCS Conference in the Coronado Springs Resort and Conference Center where technical and sales representatives will be discussing Huber’s product options and sharing its technical service expertise.
