We will never conduct business with third parties who engage in human trafficking or forced labor. We expect our employees, agents and suppliers to comply with all laws and regulations concerning forced, indentured or involuntary labor and human trafficking.
Ensuring Compliance and Understanding
During new hire orientation, employees receive training on the Huber Principles and a copy of the Principles in Action guide. The Principles in Action guide expands on the Huber Principles by providing policy directives covering the following areas: Working with Customers and Suppliers, Competing Globally, Living In the Community and Protecting Company Assets. The Principles in Action guide serves as a roadmap for how to conduct business on the company’s behalf and how to conduct ourselves as employees. The policy directives cover diverse topics, such as Avoiding Improper Payments, Counter-Terrorism, Preventing Money Laundering, Fair Employment Practices, Avoiding Conflicts of Interest and Competing Fairly. Changes to the Principles in Action guide are reviewed with all employees.
As part of the company’s Ethics Program, all employees are encouraged to raise ethics concerns. Exempt employees and employees in sensitive positions participate in a confidential Annual Ethics Program Questionnaire.
Each year, approximately 300 Huber employees receive anti-corruption training on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Employees in certain positions are retrained on certain policy directives on a regular basis.
